Call for Extended Abstract
Open call for Extended Abstracts to the congress EuroMaintenance 2026, Gothenburg.
Please share your knowledge and research within the field of Maintenance to an international audience from various industries and major institutions. The program will encompass a broad spectrum of knowledge, from maintenance operations to academic research.
As a presenter you will be seen in:
- The EuroMaintenance 2026 congress proceedings. EFNMS will publish the extended abstracts of EM26, on the EFNMS website. A new start of a biannual publication, highlighting the best insights within maintenance research.
- The EuroMaintenance congress program. You will be presenting your speech in one of the five academic sessions. Each session is professionally moderated and can hold 2 speeches of 15 minutes or one of 40 minutes, including time for questions from audience. Please inform us if you have preferences regarding session co-presenters, it might be another academic speech or a company presenting the use case, e.g. a maintenance manager explaining the outcomes of your research at their company.
- Panel discussion. Five themes will have its own discussion with invited presenters. An oppurtunitie to further add your thoughts to the topics discussed. Not mandatory, please announce interest in application.
Furthermore, as an invited presenter you will receive one congress ticket valid for both days. With plenty of opportunities to network and share with all delegates at congress. You have also access to the joint major fair Underhåll that last four days with even more exhibitions, speakers, and networking.
The submissions will be reviewed by representatives from Universities within the EFNMS Nordic members. The assessment will focus on relevance to congress themes and audience.

TIMELINE
- End of submission Monday the 28th of April.
- End of review Monday the 26thof May.
- Invitations of approved presentations will be sent in June, with one week of acceptance.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES of EXTENDED ABSTRACTS
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Your extended abstract must not exceed 2.000 words (incl. title and excl. references and affiliations).
- The main text of the extended abstract must follow the structure: title, background, method, results, and conclusion.
- The abstract shall include name of authors in the following form: Initial(s) and Surname.
- The abstract shall include affiliation, including country of each author. Author affiliations are indicated by superscript numbers e.g. F. Moran1, J. Bradley2. 1University of Ulster, N. Ireland; 2 Belfast City Hospital, N. Ireland.
- The abstract must not be based on already published studies.
- Choose from list which theme your presentation is connected to.
- Mark which UN Goals your presentation affects.
